Appz is not running or out of date

The latest of version of Appz (version 4.2.4) was released on June 7, 2019.

Appz doesn't run if there is a conflict with an older version of Appz. If you only have one version of Appz running, it might not be started automatically. Follow the steps below to make sure you that re-installed or re-started Appz:

For Windows

1.
  • On your computer, open your Chrome browser and go to Instagram.com
  • Open developer console window on Chrome, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl-Shift-J or F12 (on Windows) or Ctrl-Option-J (on Mac). Alternatively, you can use the Chrome menu in the browser window, select the option "More Tools," and then select "Developer Tools."
  • Click on Application on the top menu.



  • Click on Cookies on the left menu and expand it, you'll see https://www.instagram.com



  • Click on each cookie and press Delete on the keyboard to remove it. Make sure to delete all the cookies.





  • You can close the developer console now by click on the X.
  • Click on the blue Appz icon on the Chrome toolbar.
  • Click on Connect and log into each of your Instagram accounts.
  • Your Instagram account should show "Connected" now.
  • You should start seeing new activities in your dashboard. If you don't see new activities after 5 minutes, please restart your computer and follow the Help Guide again at https://appz.com/help

2. Go to Instagram.com on your Chrome browser and log into your Instagram account to make sure that the account is working.

3. Go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall all versions of AppzAI.

4. Click on each AppzAI and uninstall all versions of AppzAI that you see.

5. Restart the computer.

6. Go to Appz.com, on the top menu click on Download. Download Appz for Windows and install it.

7. Go to Appz on the Chrome toolbar and you should see APPZ IS RUNNING. If Appz is still not running, please try the follow steps:

  • Windows 10
  • a. Click on your Windows taskbar button.
  • b. Start typing Services until you see a Services item on top of menu. Click on Services.
  • c. Look for Appz Assistant, right-click on Appz Assistant and choose Start.
  • Windows 7/8/8.1
  • a. Go to your Windows taskbar and click on Start.
  • b. Go to Run or Search and type "services.msc" and press Enter.
  • c. Look for Appz Assistant, right-click on Appz Assistant and choose Start.



For Mac

1.
  • On your computer, open your Chrome browser and go to Instagram.com
  • Open developer console window on Chrome, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl-Shift-J or F12 (on Windows) or Ctrl-Option-J (on Mac). Alternatively, you can use the Chrome menu in the browser window, select the option "More Tools," and then select "Developer Tools."
  • Click on Application on the top menu.



  • Click on Cookies on the left menu and expand it, you'll see https://www.instagram.com



  • Click on each cookie and press Delete on the keyboard to remove it. Make sure to delete all the cookies.





  • You can close the developer console now by click on the X.
  • Click on the blue Appz icon on the Chrome toolbar.

3. Go to your Applications folder.

4. Remove all versions of AppzAI by moving it to the trash.



5. Restart the computer.

6. Go to Appz.com, on the top menu click on Download. Download Appz for Mac and install it.

7. Go to Appz on the Chrome toolbar and you should see APPZ IS RUNNING. If Appz is still not running, please try the follow steps:

  • a. Search for "terminal" in spotlight
  • b. In the terminal window, type in "sudo launchctl list | grep appzai" and press Enter.
  • c. Enter your admin password.
  • d. Verify that you see com.appz.appzai
  • e. Type in "sudo launchctl load -w /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.appz.appzai.plist" and press Enter to re-start Appz.
