<p>Claude Sonnet 5 is Anthropic’s mid-tier workhorse model, released on 30 June 2026 at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens. It is the model most teams run at volume inside Claude Code and the Claude apps.</p><p>On Google’s own Gemini 3.7 Flash model card, Sonnet 5 still leads on GDPVal-AA v2 knowledge work (1598 Elo vs 1525) and on Agent’s Last Exam desktop/OS agent tasks (33.3% vs 26.3%), while trailing on price and on Google’s AutomationBench task set.</p>
