Dishcount is a free web app that turns this week's local grocery deals into dinners. Enter a ZIP code, pick a store, and see what's on sale there. Dishcount generates recipes from the sale items you select plus whatever you already have at home, then builds an itemized shopping list with the recipes attached. Kroger shoppers can send that list to a Kroger cart for pickup or delivery in one click. No account required to start. Most meal planners start with recipes and hope the ingredients are affordable. Dishcount starts with the sale and builds the week around it. That ordering is the whole product. Coverage is 27 grocery chains, including all 11 Kroger-family banners. Kroger-family prices come through Kroger's official API. The other chains come from each chain's published weekly ad. Coverage is deepest across Kroger's 35 states, so test it with a ZIP in a Kroger market. Every recipe shows estimated cost and estimated savings. Recipes are AI-generated from the week's actual sale items. I'm Bill McCormick. I built Dishcount in Dayton, Ohio, in the evenings after my day job, with no prior coding background.
