About Gneol

Gneol — the runtime for agentic programs. Modern automation is scattered across scripts, schedulers, and API calls that don't talk to each other. Gneol replaces that with a single declarative file. A .gneol program can define agents with their own models and specialties, time and event triggers that wake them, custom tools they can call, and MCP connections that extend them to external systems. Gneol reads that file and runs it — dispatching agents, firing schedules, routing events, and persisting state across sessions. The result is software that doesn't just respond when asked. It runs continuously, reacts to what changes, and keeps working between sessions — all defined in one file you can version, review, and ship like any other code. Features: - Declarative programs: one .gneol file defines the whole system - Agentic by default: spin up specialized subagents with their own models - Time and event triggers: schedules, cron-style intervals, and reactive events - Extensible: custom tools and MCP servers for anything external - Durable: programs persist and keep running across sessions - Composable: import and reuse program fragments across projects
