About imgproxy

imgproxy is a fast, secure, self-hosted image processing service built for production workloads.

It transforms images on the fly — resizing, cropping, optimizing, converting formats, generating previews, and more — while your original images stay in your own storage and infrastructure.

Built with Go and libvips, imgproxy is designed for high performance and low memory usage. It works with S3, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob Storage, local files, and remote image sources, and fits naturally behind the CDN of your choice.

imgproxy is available as a free open-source version and imgproxy Pro, which adds advanced image processing features, additional security and optimization capabilities, and priority support.

It’s a good fit for engineering teams that need high-volume image processing without moving their media library to a third-party SaaS platform or paying per image transformation.
