Who oobo is for

Best for

Engineering teams who want every AI-assisted commit recorded with its sessions, models, and cost.

Not ideal for

Teams that do not use git or AI coding tools get nothing from it; it captures context at commit time.

About oobo

Oobo is Git for agents (and humans). It enriches your repo with additional context about AI usage, helping agents and teams understand why something was built, how decisions were made, and what happened around the code, not just in the final diff.

oobo FAQ

Is oobo open source?

Yes. oobo is open source under MIT and Apache 2.0 licenses, local-first, with all data stored in your repo on a branch you control. No cloud is required.

How does oobo capture AI context?

Post-commit hooks run automatically in the background and read your AI tools, 15 are supported, to find which sessions were active at commit time. It is read-only and never touches your tools.

Does oobo change my git workflow?

No. Anchors live on a git orphan branch inside your repo and push when you push, with the same permissions and access control. You keep using git exactly as today.
