Build the dashboard someone will actually use

Design a dashboard for {{role}} who needs to decide {{decision}} on a {{cadence}} basis. Available data: {{list}}.

Start from decisions, not charts:
1. List the decisions this person makes and the number that would change each one.
2. For each, define the metric precisely — numerator, denominator, filters, time grain, and what's excluded.
3. Now lay out the dashboard top to bottom: what's in the first screen (max 5 numbers), what's one click away, what's a link to detail. Justify each placement.
4. Specify chart type per metric and why the alternatives are worse.
5. Define what "bad" looks like for each number so the viewer knows when to act — thresholds, not colours for their own sake.
6. List the metrics people will ask for that you deliberately excluded, and the reason.
7. Name the refresh cadence and what breaks if the pipeline is late.

No gauges. No pie charts with more than three slices.
