Explain a product nobody understands yet in 60 seconds
Product: {{what it does}}. Category it belongs to: {{or 'none yet'}}. What people currently do instead: {{the status quo}}. The thing that makes people say 'oh, I get it': {{if you know it}}.
Write a 60-second script — roughly 150 words — structured as: the situation the viewer recognises, the specific moment it breaks down, the shift, what it looks like now, and one honest limit.
Rules: no analogies to other companies ('it's Uber for X'). Introduce at most one new term, and only if the video earns it. Every claim must be something the demo footage can actually show. No feature lists.
Mark each line with what's on screen while it's spoken, and flag any line where I'd be showing a talking head because there's nothing to show — those lines usually need rewriting, not footage.
Then give me the 15-second version for the same product, which is a different script, not a trim.
How to use it
The 'nothing to show' flag is the real edit. Lines with no visual are almost always abstract claims.
