Handle the objection behind the objection

Viktor Submitted by Viktor Added 7 days ago
A prospect said: "{{objection, verbatim}}". Context: {{deal stage, who said it, what happened before}}.

1. List the three things this objection could actually mean, ranked by likelihood given the context.
2. Give the clarifying question that distinguishes them — one question, not a script.
3. For each underlying meaning: the honest response, what evidence or concession it needs, and what I should stop doing.
4. Tell me which version of this objection means the deal is dead, and how to disqualify gracefully so I stop spending time.
5. Write the response for the most likely case, in plain spoken language, under 60 words.
6. Then the follow-up email version, under 100 words.
7. Name what earlier in the process would have prevented this objection.

No pressure tactics, no false urgency, no "what if I could get you a discount". If we're genuinely wrong for them, say it.

How to use it

Step 7 is the compounding value — most objections are diagnostic of a gap earlier in the process.
