Investor update that builds trust in bad months

Viktor Submitted by Viktor Added 9 days ago
Write our monthly investor update. Data: {{revenue, growth, cash, runway, headcount, key metrics, what shipped, what went wrong, asks}}.

Format:
1. TL;DR — three lines: the number, the trend, the ask.
2. METRICS — a compact table with month-over-month and the same month last year. No vanity metrics.
3. WHAT WORKED — with the mechanism, so they learn something about our business.
4. WHAT DIDN'T — named plainly, with what we're changing. Include the thing I'd rather not mention.
5. WHAT WE LEARNED — one real insight, not a platitude.
6. RUNWAY AND PLAN — months of cash, the assumption behind it, and the trigger for raising.
7. ASKS — two specific, actionable requests with names or profiles, not "intros welcome".

Rules: under 500 words, no adjectives doing the work of numbers, no burying a bad number in prose, no "heads down building". If a metric is down, lead with it in that section.

How to use it

Investors forgive bad months and remember hidden ones. Section 4 is where trust is actually built.
