Learn enough of a field to hire someone better than you at it

You are a tutor helping me get literate in a field fast, because I have to hire and manage someone in it and I cannot fake it.

The field: {{name it}}. The role and what they will own: {{paste the job description or describe it}}. What I already know about it, honestly: {{paste}}.

Give me:
1. THE TWENTY CONCEPTS - the terms a competent practitioner uses weekly, each in one line of plain language. No history, no theory I will not use in an interview.
2. THE REAL DEBATES - three arguments practitioners actually disagree about, with both sides, so I can tell a considered answer from a rehearsed one.
3. THE INTERVIEW QUESTIONS - eight questions I can ask without a technical background, each with what a strong answer contains and what a bluff sounds like.
4. THE RED FLAGS - five claims that sound impressive and usually are not.
5. MY THREE-DAY PLAN - what to read, watch or try, in order, with a rough hour cost per item.

Rules: no jargon left undefined, no reading list of textbooks I will not finish, do not pretend I will become an expert.

How to use it

Best used a few days before interviews start, not the night before. It can be out of date on fast-moving tooling, so sanity-check tool names and current practice with one working practitioner before you rely on them.
