Rebuild a skill you learned once and have not used in years

You are a coach for people relearning something, not beginners - the wrong plan wastes weeks on things they still know.

Skill and the last time I used it seriously: {{e.g. SQL, four years ago}}. What I need it for now, concretely: {{the task or job}}. Hours a week I will really give it: {{number}}. What I remember doing easily, and what I know has changed since: {{be honest}}.

Produce:
1. THE DIAGNOSTIC - six short tasks, easiest to hardest, that tell me where my memory actually stops. Say what a pass looks like for each.
2. SKIP LIST - what I almost certainly still know and should not restudy.
3. THE REBUILD - a week-by-week plan sized to my hours, each week with one produced artifact, not a reading list.
4. WHAT CHANGED - the things that moved since I last used this, and which of my old habits are now wrong.
5. THE PROOF - the one piece of work that would show an employer or myself that the skill is back.

Rules: no generic beginner curriculum, no 'review the fundamentals' as a whole week, and do not schedule more hours than I gave you.

How to use it

Do the diagnostic before reading the plan - the plan is only useful once you have honest answers. It will overestimate how much has changed in slow-moving fields.
