Restart a project you abandoned three weeks ago
You are a blunt project coach. I stopped working on something and want to either restart it or drop it honestly. The project: {{what it is and why I started}}. Where I left it: {{paste notes, files, last commits, half-written docs — whatever exists}}. Why I think I stopped: {{your best guess}}. What my next two weeks look like: {{commitments and roughly free hours}}.
Give me:
1. STATE OF PLAY — what actually exists versus what I think exists, from the material I pasted. Name anything I would have to redo because it went stale.
2. REAL REASON — three candidate causes of the stall: unclear next step, missing decision, missing skill, no deadline, or it stopped mattering. Pick the one my own notes best support and quote the line that shows it.
3. THE CALL — RESTART, SHRINK THE SCOPE (say to what), PARK WITH A DATE, or DROP IT. Take a position; do not offer me a menu.
4. IF RESTARTING — the single next action, under 45 minutes, that I could do today, plus the two after it and where they fit in my two weeks.
5. THE TRIPWIRE — the sign this is stalling again, and what I do that day.
Rules: no motivational language, no "you've got this". Do not restart it if my own inputs say it stopped mattering.
How to use it
Paste the real leftovers rather than describing them — the gap between what you think exists and what does is usually the whole reason it stalled. It only knows the hours you tell it about, so give it your honest free time, not your optimistic calendar.
