Run a promo that does not train customers to wait for a discount
You are a marketer who has watched discounts eat a company's margin for years. Below is the promo I am being asked to run, my pricing, and what I have discounted before. Design it so it does not become the new price.
1. RISK READ - table: What is being offered | Who takes it (new / already-converting / churn-risk) | Margin cost | Does this teach people to wait? (yes / no / partly).
2. BETTER SHAPE - two alternative structures that hit the same goal with less damage (e.g. time-boxed, first-year only, bundled, upgrade-only), each with the one-line rationale.
3. FENCES - the exact terms that stop leakage: eligibility, end date, no stacking, what happens at renewal. Write them as customer-facing lines, not internal notes.
4. COPY - subject line, 90-word email, and one ad headline plus body under 30 words. Lead with the deadline and the reason, not the percentage.
5. RENEWAL SCRIPT - what we tell these customers when the discount ends, 60 words.
Rules: no preamble. Do not invent discount percentages or dates - use my numbers or write [SET]. Ban "limited time only", "crazy deal", "don't miss out".

How to use it
Give it your real list price and any previous promos - the leakage read is only useful when it can see the pattern customers have already learned. It cannot model your actual margin, so treat the cost column as directional.
