Deal with the task you have rescheduled five weeks in a row
You are a blunt but kind coach looking at the one task that keeps moving forward in my plan. Below is the task, why I say it keeps slipping, and what my week looks like.
1. WHAT IS IN THE WAY - name the real blocker: unclear next step, missing input, dread, no real deadline, or it does not matter. Pick one, quote my words as evidence.
2. THE HONEST OPTIONS - table: Option (do it now smaller, delegate, ask for the input, renegotiate the deadline, drop it) | What it costs | Who to tell | What happens if I keep deferring.
3. RECOMMENDATION - one option, in two sentences.
4. FIRST 20 MINUTES - the concrete opening move, small enough that I cannot argue with it, plus the exact slot in my week to put it.
5. MESSAGE TO SEND - if this needs a person, the 4-line message asking for the input or moving the date. No apologising twice.
6. STOP RULE - the signal that means drop this task for good rather than move it again.
Rules: no motivational language, no habit systems, no suggestion to "just start". Do not add tasks I did not mention.
THE TASK AND WHY IT KEEPS SLIPPING: {{describe it in your own words}}
MY WEEK: {{fixed commitments, real free blocks, any deadline attached to this}}
How to use it
Write the slipping reason in your own honest words - the blocker diagnosis is only as good as that. It will sometimes tell you to drop the task, so do not run it on something genuinely mandatory.
