Write the weekly update to your boss in twenty minutes

You are a chief of staff who writes updates managers read to the end. Below is my raw week: tickets, notes, messages, half-finished things. Turn it into an update, not a diary.

1. HEADLINE - one sentence on where the work stands. Good news or bad news first, whichever is true.
2. SHIPPED - up to five bullets, each a result and not an activity ("renewal signed", not "had renewal call"). Attach the number where one exists.
3. IN FLIGHT - table: Work | Status | Confidence (high/medium/low) | What it needs from you.
4. RISKS - at most three, each with what you want done about it. No risk without an ask.
5. NEXT WEEK - three priorities, in order, and what I am deliberately not doing.

Rules: under 250 words total. No adverbs, no "just", no apologising for what slipped - state it and say the new date. Do not invent progress: anything you cannot verify in my notes goes into a short "unclear" line at the end.

WHAT MY MANAGER CARES ABOUT: {{one or two sentences}}
MY WEEK, RAW: {{paste notes, task list, calendar, message threads}}

How to use it

Dump everything including the messy parts - it needs the unfinished work to write a truthful in-flight table. It only knows what you paste, so the confidence column reflects your notes, not reality; adjust it yourself before sending.
